My son did not get well in time to completely finish my trailer. Yes that is me you can hear crying.....But not as loud as my neighbors...since its covered with a blue tarp... So I have decided not to let this get me down. After all I can still work on the inside....thats what I am going to do.

Halted Restoration!

Yes I am crying... both for my trailer and my son....he broke his leg! And hes the one doing most of the work on my trailer. So we are at a stand still for a little while. Boys will be boys and he broke it playing football with his friends. Yes he is a little old...but what can I say...it was important to make the catch! I just wish he had of thought ...."Geeze if I go for that ball I could get hurt and who will fix Mom's trailer". LOL!! This was the face he was wearing when he was explaining how important that catch was. I know he looks sincere but......

Vintage Is Alot of Work!

Ok, the front half is done! Yeah! And now we are on the back half. The more they look at the more that has to done. Brandon has been stuck doing it all alone this week and is doing a great job! He really should get another one when this one is done and do it for himself. But then again, this one will go to him in the will. LOL!! He does great work.

Just For the Trailer!

Aren't these the cutest dishes! I was so excited to find these! They are going to be perfect in my Vintage Trailer when I go Glam-ping! I found the white placemates and thought they would be perfect....they even look kind of like a charger.

Here are a few more things I have found! The Snack tin matches great too. The pans and bowls I found are from Paula Deen's Line. Perfect! And I think the sign will go well. I am having so much fun I think I will be kind of said when its done. My boys have been working so hard its about done! I really can't wait.

They are working so hard! Whe have to have this done enough so we can stay in it for the family reunion....And I think they will make it. It won't all be done but I think it will be done enough to sleep in.

I am so glad our boys are helping with the trailer! They are the best helpers!

It has been so hot here I wish the trailer would have fit in our garage for some shade.

Framing in the windows and getting ready to put up wood on the inside...its getting so exciting!

Every time I walked out the door more was gone. They just kept finding more and more that needs replacing. But it sure is going to be cute!!
The whole front and where the benches go is gone.

I can't believe how much they have to keep taking off. I think our neighbors think we are crazy but thats ok until its done some people just don't understand.

The Floor is In!

It is starting to look like we are getting somewhere! I love the floor. And I think with the curtains and quilts it will be beautiful.

Have any of you watched "The Long, Long Trailer" with Lucile Ball? It was such a cute show. and so funny...I haven't watched any old movies for a long time it made me want to sit the rest of the day and watch old movies. And you know I think I will....

Decorating Vintage!

Look how darling this quilt is! I was going to make the quilt for the bed until I found this one! I ordered it from Country Door. I am hoping it matches and I think it will. I did start the quilt for the bed the table makes into. You can see it at anunruffledfeather.blogspot.com. I found the pattern at Blackbird designs blog. That will come out when we use the bed.

These are the curtains! They are the valances and I am putting lace under the valance.

I am almost done with the lace curtains. I am so excited to get it all put together...I know I am jumping the gun on this stuff but wait until you see the dishes......hahahahaha I am so ready!

Ripping Out More But Putting in the Floor!

Now out came the seats! It just seem more keeps coming out !
The wall by the seats is off now too!

I am thinking this was a bigger project than I thought it would be!

Look how nice the new floor is looking. And it feels so solid!

And its insulated too.

Now comes the pretty part! Flooring!

Ok I am willing to admit it....I am such a girl! I am so glad my husband can do the ucky stuff !

I was the garbage detail. He ripped out the floor and I threw away. Well... except the dead mice bodies!!! UUUUccckkyyy! I think this is the grosses part ....at least I am hoping.

And the new floor is going to be so cute...

we picked a vinyl that looks like hard wood floors.

I just keep wonder how those little mice got in there....

Covering the Seats and Losing Nails!

Ok no one said this would be easy BUT no one said I would lose my nails!!!

Oh my gosh I can't believe it, first 1 breaks then I smash another....then off the came ...yes all of them. I don't think I have used the tips of my fingers for years. And now I am but it will be worth it! This is the seat after hours of scrubing!

A tricky middle so it can sit up. I am so excited I have 1 done! The seats match the curtain fabric I will have to take a picture tommorrow for you. I am so excited! I got the drawer pulls too. Oh and plates and pans....can you tell I can't wait! Ok I will talk to you tommorrow after I take more pictures!

Vintage Stove dial??

Ok I am now trying to find a dial for our stove, it is so hard. Everyone said just google it ...Yeah right...It is a Ward stove/oven and there is nothing out there about those ovens....Help...If anyone knows where I can get one I would love you forever!! I have been so amazed at how hard it is to find thing for our little trailer. Kelly is getting wood today to start on his part...I can't wait. If I didn't want to take our trailer on vacation I'd take vacation to work on her.

Bring Home Our Vintage Trailer!

We are off to get the trailer! I am so excited I can't stand it! But it is about 2 1/2 hours away so we decided to make a day of it! It was a nice ride and we got to see areas of Utah we have never seen . We might have to back up that way when we got the trailer all fixed up!

He's smiling now but we'll see after we get there.
It took us along time but their directions were great!
And it was a nice drive!

Here we are loading it up! It is the cutest trailer!

They have horses and sheep... What a fun place to live!

Dinette!

This is a close up of the vinyl cushions. They are made like car seats.

I am going to try to save the cushions ...just cover them with something else to try and protect the cute vinyl.

The sink and counter is made from aluminum.

The floor is carpet ...and that will be one of the first things to go. we haven't decide if it will be hard wood, vinyl, or tile....but it will be cute!

Made It!! Now all the fun begins....Kelly will have so much to do and I will have so much shopping and quilting to get done. This is going to be so fun. We went to the trailer store and looked around and there is so much to see.

1947 Vintage!

This is going to be our Heirloom Inn! This 1947 Kit Companion trailer may not look like much now but it is going to be so cute!! My Husband and I decided to start camping after 35 years of marriage and what better way to begin than by restoring a vintage trailer! And all the vintage trailers I looked at on the internet have names and I had to have a name before we started!

This is an inside picture before we started! Look how cute the stove is. And I love the counter tops. I am thinking we should do this in white, black and red. I have the best Husband he just keeps saying "Whatever you want". No wonder hes lasted so long! Hahahaha!
